Comic Fiesta 2009

Finally, I got the chance to visit Comic Fiesta (CF for short) this year. This is one of the famous Anime, Comic, Game(ACG) event in Malaysia. It was held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.

This was my first time visiting CF, also I was so eager to go. When I got everything prepared, it started to rain, heavily. The rain ruined my mood, and I got there with wet pants and shoes. Furthermore, during my way back from the event, I got a punctured tyre. such a misfortune =_=

After I bought my entrance tickets, I just strolled around. There were tons of booths selling games, manga, and anime related stuffs. And there were many rows of Doujin Booth in tha hall. This is the 1st time for me to witness such a grand ACG event.

This time I dint take many cosplayers photos. I just covered those cosplayers on stage, since not many people were doing so. And it is the time to test the lens I borrowed from my friend. 70-300mm f/4-5.6 which cost only RM100. The photos were satisfying considering using this Rm100 lens in this low light condition, haha.

This group always does stunning costumes and postures. I like this group very much

Malacca MMU GACC 2009 (Cosplay)

Warning, beyond here is for the otaku only..............

This is one of the main reasons why I went down to Malacca, and ya, for cosplay!! But not me cosplay la, I just go there see see only. and I would like to share the event, GACC which stands for Game Anime Comic Circle. It was held at Malacca MMU.

Upon reaching there, I saw floods of people. So I started to take a look. There are many booths. They sell many things, from anime figures to cosplay accessories, from drawings to mangas, from anime to OST.

Well, obviously I came here not for these stuff, but for the cosplayers!! Those cosplayers are willing to pose for you to take photos, but if you should kindly ask for their permission la, else they will piss you off, lol

Cosplayers volunteerily prepared 4 dance performances for the audience, Sailo fuku, Cirno, Love and Joy, Carameldansen.

I wish I could dance like them too. envy~~~~~

Their dances were so astonishing. Not only very entertaining, it is up to the standard. I can say they gave blood and sweat in preparing these. They deserved a big hand from me.

OK, nothing much to say, I didn't shoot much that day as I reached there at 3pm, which means I attended the event for a few hours only. I was also very tired and hungry for riding motorcycle from PJ to here =_=

C2AGE

16th May

C2AGE, an ACG event, organised by Help University College, for fans by fans. I thought i was at 17th, but luckily, someone reminded me it was at Saturday just a few hours before hand. And i got lost + couldnt find the location. it took me an hour to get there =_= (i forgot to check wikimapia)

I was there at 1045am. I bought another ticket, as i lost it. There were numerous booths, there are booths about accessories, food, drawings, games, etc. There were Street Fighter 4 competition too. OK for intro, lets head to what i saw.

The event started behind the schedules. During the arival of VIP, kelam kabut, lol. The VIPs were the headmaster of HELP, Japanese Ambassador and his wife, etc, and most importantly, the hot ANIMAX ASEAN Ambassador Hannah Tan!!! The speech by the Jap Ambassador was so fun. He sang in Malay too!!

The timetable was.....urgh... we dint know what comes next at what time. And for my personally view, the cosplay competition 1st round was not good. However, the momentum came during 2nd round of Cosplay competition. Performances by cosplayers were awesome. There were Anime Song Quizes too! The Anime Chess Fighting involved cosplayer as chess pieces, commanded by the Kings, and do fighting poses when killing other chess pieces.

Not much to say, well done to C2AGE commitees, and i met some friends, got to know some cosplayers, and got some shots!!

ACGC 2009 Day 2

Ush! it took me so long to upload the pics because of 'stimyx'. Here is the 2nd day of ACGC pics that i took. Once again, cosplayers always open my eyes into the new world. Today's is the cosplay competition for solo. 19 participants going to compete. There will be 3 rounds for each of them. The 1st round requires cosplayer to present 3 posses. 2nd will be interview from judges. 3rd round is performance.
